Police have released pictures of jewellery burgled from a Potters Bar home in a bid to catch the culprit.

A burglar escaped with several pieces of jewellery, watches, a laptop computer, and euros from a home in Mount Grace Road between 1.30pm and 9.15pm on Saturday, August 23, after smashing the rear patio door.

Detective Constable David Boden said: “These items are of great sentimental value to the victim and many of them are quite distinctive.

“I would like to hear from anyone who has been offered jewellery for sale in suspicious circumstances or anyone who knows of the possible whereabouts of the items taken.

“I would also like to speak to anyone who recalls seeing anyone or anything suspicious in the area around the time of the burglary.

“Any information, however insignificant it may seem, may prove useful to our investigation.”

The haul included two pairs of cufflinks similar to those pictured above, a black men’s Rotary watch, a pewter black heart pendant necklace, and several valuable rings.

Anyone with information is asked to contact DC Boden via the Hertfordshire Constabulary non-emergency number 101, citing crime reference J3/14/788. Alternatively call Crimestoppers, the independent charity, anonymously on 0800 555 111.
