Police have confirmed they attended a flat in Hatfield earlier today to help evict a tenant.

Police have clarified an incident they were called to in Hazel Grove at 11.15 am, initially described as a “disturbance”.

A spokesman told the Welwyn Hatfield Times: “Police attended an address in Hazel Grove, Hatfield, at approximately 11.15am today.

“A man was being evicted from a property and police were present to prevent a breach of the peace.

“Initially, the man refused to leave the address and specially trained officers were deployed to speak with him.

“The situation has now been resolved. No-one was harmed during the incident and no-one was arrested.”
