A WOULD-be-thief was foiled this morning (Friday) after being caught in the act by a police helicopter.
Just after 2.30am, a man was spotted getting into a garden in Dalewood, WGC.
Hertfordshire Constabulary scrambled its helicopter to the scene, and found a man attempting to take a child’s quad bike from an unlocked summer house at the back of the property.
The suspect dumped the bike, and made off before police could catch him.
The suspect is described as white, about six foot tall, aged between 20 and 30, and was wearing a navy Adidas hoodie, grey tracksuit bottoms and grey trainers.
