Police found an offensive weapon during a raid in Welwyn Garden City


Police carried out a search warrant on a garage block in Welwyn Garden City.

The Welwyn Garden City Safer Neighbourhood Team, acting on information received, raided a garage block in Tansycroft at around 11am on Wednesday, February 9.

No drugs were found but officers saw evidence of drug use and removed an offensive weapon.

PC Ross Freeman said: “Where evidence exists that crime and antisocial behaviour exists, we will intervene to make lives better for all residents and stop this offending.”

No arrests were made.
