“The matter is in the hands of the police and we are unable to comment while the investigation is ongoing.

“We have also been made aware of some comments that are circulating about the incident on social media and would like to say that the reports of the incident involving a machete and clown are wholly untrue and are causing unnecessary harm and distress to students, parents and staff.

“You can be assured that the college treats the safety of students and staff with the utmost priority and if any member of the public is seeking reassurance then please contact the college directly on 01727 737000.”
