Police had to deal with a group of around 20 children in Welwyn Garden City town centre after they were abusive to people.

A police spokeswoman said: “Police were called at 5.03pm yesterday to McDonalds in Howardsgate to reports a group of around 20 children outside the restaurant.

“There were also reports they had been verbally abusive to customers.

“Officers attended and established no offences had been committed and they group were advised to move on.”
