Youngsters were reported to police for jumping around on bins outside shops in Welwyn Garden City yesterday evening.

A police spokeswoman said: “Police were called at 7.30pm to Moors Walk, WGC to reports of youths jumping from bin to bin outside Tesco.

“Officers attended and searched the area but it appears that the young people had already left the area.”

Members of the public took to social media to vent their frustration at the behaviour of youngsters, thought to be as young as 12.

While some say there needs to be more police on the streets, others say better parenting is what is needed.
