Police arrest man in connection with Welwyn Garden City Ladbrokes robbery

A man has been arrested in connection with a robbery that occurred in Welwyn Garden City.

The incident happened at around 8.30pm on Wednesday, July 8, when a man entered Ladbrokes in Wigmores North.

It is alleged he jumped over the counter, holding a hammer and threatened staff.

A 35 year old man from Welwyn has been arrested on suspicion of robbery in connection with the incident. He has been released on police bail until 27 September whilst enquiries continue.
