On Monday, September 12, at around 4.45pm officers stopped to speak with a male who was riding the bike by the Wyllyotts Centre.

He ran from the scene and left the bike behind.

PC Paul Francis said: “The bike is expensive and looks new. There was a lock with it also. At this stage we’ve made checks and can’t find the owner and it’s not clear if it may have been stolen.

“I would appeal to anyone who believes the bike belongs to them to make contact me via the Herts Police non-emergency number 101.”
