Police appeal to find Welwyn Garden City meat thief

A SHOP worker received minor injuries after attempting to stop a thief.

The theft took place at Somerfield supermarket in Woodhall Parade, WGC, when a woman entered the store, selected a large quantity of meat and attempted to leave without paying.

A male employee tried to stop her, but she kicked him and escaped.

Police have today (Tuesday) released a CCTV image of a woman who was in the supermarket at the time of the theft on September 25.
