Police appeal for Welwyn Garden City assault victim to come forward

A MAN who was punched in the face in WGC is being urged to contact police to assist with their investigations.

The victim was walking with a woman close to the Taxi rank in Parkway at around 1.50am on Sunday, September 30.

He is described as a white man, aged in his 40s, wearing a white shirt and despite officers looking at CCTV footage they have not been able to identify him.

A 25 year old man from WGC was arrested on suspicion of assault and is currently on police bail.

Assistant Investigator Hussain Skoien from the Case Investigation Team said: “I would very much like to speak with the victim of this assault about what happened.

“You are not in any trouble but your information could greatly assist the police investigation.”
