Police appeal for information after Brookmans Park hit and run

Police in three counties have appealed for witnesses following a hit and run accident in Brookmans Park, which left a female pedestrian with serious injuries.

The accident occurred as the woman was walking along Hawkshead Lane, near to the Royal Veterinary College, around 5.40pm on Thursday.

The vehicle involved, which is described as “a white car-like van”, failed to stop.

The woman was taken to Barnet General Hospital.

A police spokeswoman said: “Officers from Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire are Hertfordshire Roads Policing Unit are appealing for witnesses and information following a serious injury fail to stop traffic incident which happened on outskirts of Bookman’s Park yesterday evening (Thursday, February 12).

“Investigating officers are appealing for anyone who was in the area at the time of the incident to make contact and would also like to hear from anyone with information about the vehicle, which may well have been damaged in the collision.”
