Police are appealing for witnesses after vandals ripped off a car wing mirror in Hatfield.

Police are appealing for witnesses and information after damage was caused to a car in Hatfield overnight on Thursday, October 20 into Friday morning (October 21).

Between 6pm on the Thursday and 8am on the Friday the driver’s door wing mirror of a green Vauxhall Astra was broken off. The car was parked in Cheviots at the time.

PC Shaun Buchanan is investigating and said: “I would appeal to anyone who was in the area between these times and who saw or heard anything suspicious to please contact police.

“I would also appeal to other drivers in the area to check their vehicles and if they find any damage to report it by calling 101.”

Anyone who has any information about the incident is asked to contact the Hertfordshire Constabulary non-emergency number 101 quoting crime reference number B2/16/4376.
