Police are appealing for information and witnesses following a burglary in Potters Bar yesterday.

A police spokeswoman said: “It happened yesterday (Tuesday, October 24) between 5pm and 6.40pm at a property in Morven Close.

“Offender(s) gained access to the property’s rear garden by damaging a lock on a side gate before smashing a glass pane in the back door.

“They searched the property before leaving via the front door and making off in an unknown direction.

“If you saw anyone acting suspicious in the area prior to or after the incident, perhaps leaving in a hurry on foot or in a vehicle, please call 101 quoting crime reference J3/17/1499.”
