Archant

The police have released CCTV images today after a man stole a phone in Hatfield.

At around 8.30pm on Thursday, April 19, a shopper in Tesco in Oldings Corner accidentally left his mobile phone at the express checkout.

His phone was then picked up by another man who put it in his pocket and left the store without handing it in to staff at Tesco.

A spokeswoman for the police said: “Police would like to speak to the man pictured, who had a dog with him, as he may have information that could assist the investigation.

“Anyone who recognises him or has information that could assist the on-going investigation is asked to contact PC Balal Miah by emailing balal.miah@herts.pnn.police.uk, call the non-emergency number 101, quoting crime reference B2/18/1718 or report information online at www.herts.police.uk/report.”
