Officers are appealing for witnesses and information after a car collided with an elderly man in Potters Bar.

The incident happened at 9.30am yesterday at the traffic lights on the junction between Mutton Lane and Darkes Lane.

A car collided with a 79-year-old man, resulting in an injury to his foot.

A spokeswoman for the police said: “The driver of the car got out and offered to help the man, but the man declined any assistance.

“The driver did not leave his details and officers now need to speak to them in connection with the incident.”
