Police and a fire crew were called to Welwyn Garden City yesterday to a blaze outside McDonald’s.

A number of items were set alight in the street in a small fire in the alleyway between the restaurant and Monsoon, on Howardsgate.

The fire was caught on camera, and fire services were called by 5.12pm on Sunday May 20.

Police are investigating it as suspected arson, and are appealing for information and witnesses.

Officers are still working to establish what the items were and who they belong to.
