Archant

Four police cars and an ambulance were called to a Potters Bar street today after an elderly couple got lost.

The elderly man and woman had been driving in Southgate Street when they became somewhat disorientated, and parked to ask for help. They knocked on a door and were taken in by a woman who contacted police at 10.42am out of concern for their welfare.

Curious eyewitnesses speculated on social media what the emergency services were out for, but thankfully the police helped locate the couple’s family.

Next of kin have been informed, and they are being looked after.
