A concerned Potters Bar resident called the police after a light was shone through her window.

Police received a call at 8.40pm yesterday to reports of suspicious activity in Cranborne Close.

A police spokeswoman said: “It was reported that a light had been shone through a house window and the caller was concerned that someone might have been trying to gain entry.

“Officers have visited the caller to make enquiries and offer home security advice.

“Anyone who has information about the incident should call 101, quoting ISR 773 of October 2.”
