A 'polar bear' is coming to town for the Welwyn Garden City Christmas lights switch-on.
The Howard Centre will have a special guest on hand to meet and greet shoppers when the towns Christmas lights are switched on on Thursday, November 17.
A life-sized roaming polar bear will be making personal appearances at intervals throughout the day between 1pm to 5.30pm. There will be photo opportunities so don’t forget to bring your camera and be sure to arrive early to avoid disappointment.
Paul Haynes, centre manager said: “We think it is important to put on great free events and support the town centre’s Christmas launch event.
“We’re sure our polar bear will be extremely popular with our shoppers young and old and will certainly bring some festive cheer to the Howard Centre.”
