For they are planning on replacing the axed trees with PLASTIC ones.

The ingenious plans are detailed in secret documents leaked this week to the WHT.

The trees are made of a special type of rigid Polyvinyl Chloride (PVC), more commonly used for window frames and pipe fittings.

And this indestructible plastic will mean health and safety risks at the WGC beauty spot are all but wiped out.

That's because there's no branches to fall on to unsuspecting members of the public, unlike their real counterparts.
