Plans submitted for new Welwyn Garden City hospital

PLANS for the new QE2 Hospital have been submitted to Welwyn Hatfield Council.

An outline application reveals what the local general hospital on the site in Howlands, WGC, will incorporate.

According to the plans, the hospital would feature a local A&E facility and rapid assessment centre.

The application also details amendments to existing car parking, internal road layout, landscaping and open space on the current QE2 site.

A public consultation period on the proposals runs until April 6.
