PLANS for a wet play area at the former Splashlands swimming pool site at Stanborough Lakes are pushing forward.
A project board was set up by Welwyn Hatfield Council’s cabinet meeting on Tuesday, to oversee what it is calling a “major procurement project”.
On the panel are three cabinet members, Roger Trigg, Alan Franey and Tony Kingsbury, all three Handside ward councillors, Helen Bromley, Fiona Thomson and Tony Skottowe, and opposition representative Lynn Chesterman.
The seven will oversee all purchases in relation to the construction, setting up and operation of the new Splashlands at the WGC beauty spot.
