This week’s Pet of the Week is a Welwyn Garden City pooch who often gets mistaken for a teddy bear.

Meet nine-month-old miniature poodle Monty, who lives in Welwyn Garden City with his owner Rob Scatchard, and his children Alice and Jack.

Everywhere Monty goes people ask if he is a teddy bear and want to stroke and cuddle him.

He likes nothing more than playing with other dogs and going for long walks in Sherrardspark Wood and Panshanger Park, followed by the naughty pup putting his muddy paws on the sofa.

Monty often joins Rob, who is a driving instructor, on lessons which the students love.

Rob added: “He brings lots of laughter, fun and cuddles wherever we go.”
