This week's winner of Pet of the Week is a brave Hatfield cat who is recovering from an operation after narrowly avoiding his leg being amputated.

Three-year-old Arthur broke his leg so badly this year that he suffered with severe nerve damage.

The Hatfield cat had no feeling in his paw at all after the break and according to
his owner Chantelle Jade Tabitha nearly had his leg amputated.

Chantelle said: “My local vets in Welwyn Garden City were unable to treat him as I couldn’t afford the treatment so he was referred to a lovely vets in London called Celia Hammond.

“He’s recovering really well.

“He had to have five weeks cage rest and he’s now using the leg again.

“He’s got one more week left until the bars are removed and he can get back to his old tricks.

“Arthur is a lovely natured cat, he adores children, and is loved by everyone.

“He walks visitors home or to their cars.

“He really is a special cat.”
