A peacock in Brookmans Park has been reported to police

A pesky peacock has been reported to police after making itself at home in a woman’s garden.

Police received a call just before 10.20am yesterday from a woman in Ash Close, Bell Bar, near Brookmans Park Golf Club, about the feathered trespasser.

A police spokeswoman said: “It was a lady advising that there had been a peacock in the garden for several days.

“She had called the only people she knew in the area who owned a peacock and it wasn’t theirs.`

“She’s reported it to police in case anyone is missing a peacock.

“It looks like it’s been reported for our information. We’re not taking it further.”
