Pensioner treated after fire at Welwyn Garden City flat

AN elderly woman was given oxygen for smoke inhalation after a fire at her Welwyn Garden City flat.
Fire crews from Welwyn Garden City, Hatfield, Welwyn and Wheathampstead were called to the property in Digswell Court, on Digswell Rise, at 12.40am yesterday (Thursday).
An ambulance was also called, and the householder was given oxygen, but did not require hospital treatment.
Firefighters had dealt with the blaze by 1.15am.
