A PENSIONER has been taken to hospital this morning after his car flipped.
The accident on the A119 Hertford Road between Watton at Stone and Hertford, happened at 9.40am.
The silver Seat Arosa driver was taken to Lister Hospital, in Stevenage, with minor injuries ambulance service spokesman Gary Sanderson said.
He added: βOn arrival the man, who was 82-years-old, was upside down in the drivers seat. An off duty police officer who was passing by at the time of the collision was caring for him. The man was stabilised at the roadside by paramedics before being taken to the hospital.β
Fire crews from Stevenage and Hertford attended the incident and used cutting equipment to free him.
