A PENSIONER was the victim of a distraction burglary at the weekend.
The 80-year-old woman received a house call from two men claiming to be from a water company, at around 3.10pm on Monday.
They said they were investigating a leak, and while one man spoke to the woman at the door, another entered the property in Briars Lane, Hatfield, and stole cash.
A spokeswoman for Hertfordshire Constabulary asked anyone who saw suspicious behaviour or has any further information to contact police on 0845 33 00 222.
