Parents of two youngsters have been fined after they failed to regularly attend secondary school in Welwyn Garden City.
Neither parent appeared at Stevenage Magistrates’ Court when the cases were heard on November 16.
Both cases, which are unrelated, were proved in their absence.
The mum’s teenager failed to regularly attend school between January and April this year.
She was fined £290.
She was also ordered to pay victim services £30 and costs of £125.
In total she must pay £445.
The dad’s teenager failed to regularly attend school between October last year and January this year.
He was fined £120.
He was also ordered to pay victim services £30, plus costs of £125.
In total, he must pay £275.
