Updated proposals for around 650 homes on Panshanger airfield will be displayed at public exhibitions this week.

Landowners Mariposa Investments and the Homes & Communities Agency (HCA) will hold their third round of meetings to outline the latest plans, which will include new homes, a primary school and open spaces.

The exhibitions will be at the Fairway Tavern, Panshanger Golf Course, off Herns Lane, between 2pm and 6pm on Friday and 10am to 2pm on Saturday.

Several parties have been fighting to retain a community airfield at the Welwyn Garden City site following its inclusion in Welwyn Hatfield Council’s Local Plan.

A spokesman for the landowners said: “Mariposa and the HCA are working towards an outline planning application to be submitted next year in parallel with the final stages of the Local Plan process.

“This exhibition will give you the opportunity to view the proposals, ask questions and provide your feedback.”
