EVERY girl loves to be pampered.

There is almost nothing better than indulging yourself with a set of beauty treatments and relaxing after a hard week’s work or a tiring shopping spree.

So you can imagine my delight when I was invited to road-test a selection of treatments at Nandini’s Hair and Beauty Salon in Hatfield.

Manager Nandini Singh, who established the Market Place salon in November 2008, features pretty much every beauty treatment imaginable at cutting-edge prices.

Upon arriving at the boutique I was made to feel very welcome by friendly Nandini and two of her four staff members.

The first treatment I had was the eyebrow threading.

Having experienced it once before in my native Manchester, I knew the technique was a little painful but was worth it for the amazing results.

This was again the case, but my eyebrows were perfectly shaped.

Nandini, who claims to have been the first Hatfield salon to have introduced threading in 2006 when she had a small beauty room within a shop, said: “The most unique treatment we provide is the art of threading, used to remove unwanted facial hairs.

“It is not very painful and gives a defined shape to your eyebrows with no side effects.

“We provide the best threading services in the area at a very reasonable price.”

My next treatment was the back, neck and shoulder massage.

To say it was relaxing would be an understatement.

The massage definitely helped to relieve tension in my muscles and I would definitely recommend it.

Next I had an Indian head massage.

The aim of this massage is to release the stress that has accumulated in the tissues, muscles and joints of the head, face, neck and shoulders.

Nandini, 26, said: “Indian head massage is based on the ancient Indian ayurvedic system of healing which has been practiced in India for over a thousand years.

“It provides relaxation and healing on a daily basis and it is especially good for relieving stress, tension, fatigue, insomnia, headaches, migraine and sinusitis.”

As I often suffer with sinus problems, the Indian head massage was a very worthwhile and enjoyable experience.

My fianc, who often gives me head massages, will be pleased to know that I intend to go and get a professional one done more often!

Finally I had the rejuvenating facial. This facial, using essential oils to help nourish and restructure the skin, aims to boost the skin with oxygen and energy.

I thoroughly enjoyed the experience of being cleansed, toned and exfoliated and my skin felt like it was glowing.

Nandini, who is NVQ qualified, and her staff were very professional and made the whole experience wonderful.

It is clear their clients mean a great deal to them.

“We are absolutely committed to being the best that we can be,” said Nandini.

“The entire team works with passion and professionalism and has a desire to exceed the standards for which Nandini’s is renowned – fabulous hairdressing, cutting edge beauty and outstanding customer care.”

The salon is open from Tuesday to Saturday from 9am until 5pm.
