A child abuser who has just admitted 45 offences committed overseas may have attacked Hertfordshire children as he worked as a teacher in the county.

Mark Frost, who admitted offences committed in Europe and Thailand at the Old Bailey yesterday, is awaiting sentence, and has been described as “One of the UK’s worst ever paedophiles”.

According to the NSPCC charity, he taught English in at least one Hertfordshire school before fleeing Britain in 1996.

John Cameron, head of NSPCC helplines, said: “Mark Frost is a very dangerous paedophile with a long and vile history of sexually abusing children in Thailand and distributing images of child abuse.

“Frost worked as a teacher in the UK until 1996 and today’s guilty plea may encourage further victims to speak out. We are working with the National Crime Agency’s on-going investigation into non-recent child sexual abuse allegations against Frost and anyone who thinks they may be a victim can contact the dedicated NSPCC helpline – 0800 3280904.”

A spokesman told the Welwyn Hatfield Times the charity expected further victims would come forward.

Frost, 70, also known as Andrew Tracey. was arrested in Alicante in Spain in 2015.
