County councillors will debate Hertfordshire’s school funding problems tomorrow, with opposition members pressing for a protest to the Government.

According to Lib Dem members, Hertfordshire schools will face £28.3 million extra costs in 2016/17 from pressures such as increased teachers’ pay, pensions costs and employers’ National Inurance.

Their motion calls on tomorrow’s full council meeting to endorse a letter from the chairman of the Hertfordshire Schools Forum to the Government.
