A DROP in the number of people with swine flu symptoms in Hertfordshire has led to the opening hours of the anti-viral collection point at Campus West being reduced.

The WGC drug collection area will now be open from 9.30am to 7.30pm, Monday to Friday and 10am to 4pm, Saturday and Sunday.

Dr Jane Halpin, Director of Public Health for NHS Hertfordshire said: "In common with the rest of England, over the past week we have seen a drop in the number of people with swine flu symptoms in Hertfordshire.

"When the national pandemic flu service first opened, our two initial antiviral collection points in Watford and Welwyn Garden City were seeing 200 to 300 visits per day.

"This number has now dropped to around 130 visits per day.
