One lane of M25 opened after Potters Bar lorry fire

One lane has re-opened on the M25 clockwise carriageway after a lorry caught fire this morning (Tuesday) near Potters Bar.

The blaze gutted a meat laden lorry after it started at around 8.47am between junctions 23 and 24.

Firefighters from Potters Bar, St Albans and Hatfield were called to the fire.

Specialist police officers were also called to the inferno, which gutted the articulated lorry.

A spokeswoman for Herts police said it did not appear anyone was injured in the fire.

The Highways Agency has warned motorists they can expect delays of up to 60 minutes.
