A family-run home care provider has been commended for the quality of its service.

Codicote-based OmerCare received an overall service rating of ‘outstanding’ following a recent Care Quality Commission (CQC) inspection.

OmerCare was lauded for being “exceptionally” caring and well-led, in particular, but also performed well against CQC standards for safe, effective and responsive service.

The inspection report said: “People and their relatives spoke highly of the management team and how the service was run.

“The ethos of the service put people at the heart of all that they did.

“The management team and the care staff went above and beyond what was expected to ensure that people felt valued and were well cared for.”

OmerCare was previously rated as ‘good’ overall after their previous inspection in February 2016.

During the inspection, CQC spoke with four people who used the service, two relatives, four staff members and the managers, reviewed records and received feedback from the community.
