A POTTERS Bar girl will be among the 15,000 performers at tonight’s (Sunday) London 2012 Olympic Closing Ceremony.

Clare Lavelle will be helping to pass the Olympic Games on to Rio de Janeiro in Brazil at the Olympic Stadium from when the party starts at 9pm this evening.

The Mount Grace Road resident will be one of hundreds of dancers on show in a performance she described as similar to “Beijing’s with the big red bus but for Rio instead”.

Prior to the event the 27-year-old told the Welwyn Hatfield Times’ Potters Bar Edition she was “extremely excited about performing in front of millions and so proud to be a part of the London Games”.
