Welwyn Garden City’s new £30million QEII Hospital has been officially opened today.

The building is described as “a modern, welcoming and sustainable place for local people to access the hospital services that they use most often”.

Services and facilities at the new hospital, include an Urgent Care Centre, general outpatient services,a purpose-built area for children’s outpatient services, diagnostic tests (MRI, CT scans and X-rays), day treatments and GP out-of-hours services.

The care delivered in the New QEII is provided by East and North Hertfordshire NHS Trust and Hertfordshire Community NHS Trust.
