Knightsfield-based dance school North Star Academy have qualified 22 boys and girls to compete in the 2019 Dance World Cup Finals in Braga, Portugal, in June and July.
The starlets, aged from 11 to 18, were chosen from thousands of dancers that auditioned to represent Team England this year.
They will be compete among more than 5000 dancers from across the world.
North Star Academy teacher and choreographer Sophia Melvin said: “We are so unbelievably proud of our starlets. It is not only a huge honour to represent your country at such a prestigious competition, but also a massive achievement out of the thousands of dancers that auditioned for the very few spots on Team England for 2019.
“They will be performing in some of the most difficult and competitive categories, including contemporary, modern technique and tap, which just highlights their consistent hard work and dedication to their craft.
“They really are an incredible group of stars and excellent role models for their generation.”
The school is raising funds and hoping to attract sponsorship for the trip.
