TWO motorists miraculously escaped injury after their cars turned over in two separate incidents.

The first happened at about 7.15pm on Thursday, when a silver Ford Focus overturned on Watton Road in Datchworth.

The lane had to be closed for just under an hour.

The next incident occurred just after noon on Friday, when a maroon Vauxhall Astra flipped after hitting a kerb and a tree in Woods Avenue, Hatfield.

Hugh Cowin, who lives in the road and took this dramatic picture, said: "There are so many parked cars around, due to the university, it's lucky that nobody was seriously injured.
