ACROSS the country, hunderds of late arriving voters have been turned away from polling stations and police have been called to deal with large queues.

One station in London was forced to remain open until 10.30pm and in Sheffield there were three hour waits.

However the situation was far less manic in Potters Bar, with no reported late comers arriving across the town.

A Hertsmere council spokeswoman said: “So far we know of no voters that have been turned away in Potters Bar.

“There has been a steady strain of people throughout the day and it started to slow down between 8pm and 10pm.”
