A new turntable-based videogame will feature famous hip-hop acts as well as a record deck designed by DJ kit manufacturer Numark. It's hoped the new rhythm game will do for DJing what Guitar Hero did for air guitar and the careers of aging 1980s rock bands. Helmed by Quincy Jones III, the producer behind Michael Jackson's Thriller album, Scratch: The Ultimate DJ will encourage players to create their own scratch rhythms as well as playing along to some of the biggest names in hip-hop. Expect to be able to scratch virtual records using your PS3 or Xbox 360 next spring.
