IF you are thinking about buying a PlayStation 3 this Christmas, you might want to delay your purchase until early next year.
According to reports on a leading videogame website - www.dpadmagazine.com - Sony plans to be "more competitive" with PS3 pricing from March 2009. While a price cut next year is not a huge surprise - an entry level PS3 is more than twice as expensive as the lowest priced Xbox 360 - the leaking of such confidential information in the run up to Christmas will surely hurt sales. Sony, meanwhile, dismissed the report as "rumour and speculation".
