HULKING great robots smashing the metal teeth out of each other is not a particularly new idea, but Battle Rage: The Robot Wars adds some clever 3D effects to make up for the aging concept.
The Wii-only game, due for release later this year, comes with a pair of stereoscopic glasses designed to give the metal-shredding combat an extra dimension. Once viewed through the magic specs, Battle Rage turns into a true 3D fighter that is just like watching a 3D film (but hopefully without the headaches and eyestrain). I would not hold your breath for this one, but if the technique works it could certainly be fun.
