New Year’s Honours List unveiled
FOUR people with links to Times Territory have been acknowledged in the New Year’s Honours List.
Roger Moore, of the Potters Bar division of the St John Ambulance, has been given an MBE for services to the community.
Elsewhere Jean Pickering, of Wendover Drive, Welwyn, received an MBE for services to athletics on and to the Ron Pickering Memorial Fund.
Jean founded the fund in memory of her husband, the former BBC sports commentator and national athletics coach who died in 1991.
Knebworth resident Margaret Crennell, senior assistant headteacher at Marriotts School in Stevenage, has been awarded an MBE for services to special needs education.

And finally Iain Laidlaw-Dickson, the former chairman of Hertfordshire Police Authority was given an OBE for services to the police.
