SPURS goalkeeper David Button, who hails from Welwyn Garden City, has signed a new three-year contract with the Premier League club from White Hart Lane.

The 21-year-old former Monk’s Walk School pupil has just enjoyed a successful 2009/10 season in which he made his debut for Harry Redknapp’s side as a late substitute against Doncaster Rovers in the League Cup last August.

As well as that the 6ft 3ins stopper went on to make more than 30 appearances while on loan at two different League Two outfits.

He played 10 games with Crewe Alexandra and turned out 26 times for Shrewsbury Town.
