A SINGLE chemical laboratory to serve Hertfordshire Constabulary and Bedfordshire Police was officially opened in a Times Territory town on Monday.
The unit, based at Hertfordshire Constabulary's HQ, in Welwyn Garden City, will be able to assist with more investigations, allowing for the recovery of evidence from crime scenes helping to identify criminals.
Services include chemical treatment, fingerprint development and handwriting and document analysis.
The chemical laboratory is the first of the facilities to be shared since the collaboration of both forces' scientific services units in April.
