A BLUEPRINT for the future of North Mymms Parish has been unveiled.

The plan has been put together by volunteers who have consulted, investigated, debated and put forward ideas for a variety of projects in Brookmans Park, Welham Green and Little Heath. Work started in late 2008 and there have been public meetings and consultation.

A questionnaire was circulated last summer to all 3,851 households and 400 businesses in the parish.

Parish Plan committee chairman Sheila King said: “It was a good way of taking the pulse of those living and working in the villages in our parish.”

The 36 page full Parish Plan was launched on November 26, when Mrs King handed over the first copy to Stephen Boulton, chairman of North Mymms Parish Council.

Among suggestions in the document are demands for improved internet access, more dog waste bins and improved street lighting.

It also recommended more youth activities in the area.
