A NEW Oxfam bookshop will be moving in to the site of a former caf� today (Monday).
The shop, at the old Maccachinos site, in Howardsgate, Welwyn Garden City will be staging an opening ceremony featuring Welwyn Hatfield mayor Howard Morgan at 11am.
It will be in addition to the existing Oxfam charity shop in Fretherne Road.
Sonia Iles, manager of the new bookstore, said: “The other shop is staying, but the books will move to the bookshop. And we’re hoping to increase clothes and homewares at the other shop.”
